About Marco
Marco was born in Fano, Italy on September 19th, 1980, the third son of Olvido Omiccioli and Giorgina Falcioni. As a young man Marco lost his mother Giorgina, who was very dear to him. Marco always referred to his mother as his angel and would talk about her with great praise and respect. Marco was an uncle to 6 nephews and 3 nieces. As a brother, Marco was extremely generous, always worrying for Alessandro and Simone and making sure that they were doing fine.
Marco studied Economics and Business Administration at the University of Ancona, Italy graduating with a bachelor degree in 2003. In 2004, while studying for his master degree in Economics & Management, he had the opportunity to come to New York to intern at Sector. Excelling with his work ethic and positive attitude, Marco interviewed successfully for Valentino, and joined in 2005. At Valentino, Marco grew all the way up to becoming the Director of Finance. His co-workers remember him as being accessible, open, generous, and always available to help with a big smile on his face.
Born in 2013 as charity initiative that helped collect donations to be distributed to charities in Italy and the US., the Remembering Marco Initiative supports today an Internship Program that gives students the opportunity to start their careers interning within the Finance Department of some of the most prestigious fashion companies in the world in the city of New York.

REMEMBERING MARCO X VALENTINO USA INC. & UNIVERSITÀ CA’ FOSCARI
After a 2 year pause due to Covid-19, the initiative resumes their work with a collaboration with Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. For the year 2022 Remembering Marco partnered again with with Valentino USA, Inc to give one lucky student the opportunity to begin their professional career in one of the most prestigious fashion companies in the world. The selected candidate will land in NYC in June 2022.
REMEMBERING MARCO X GILDA’S CLUB
For the year 2020 Remembering Marco supported Gilda’s Club with its virtual 25th Anniversary Benefit Gala on Thursday, November 12, 2020 with a dedicated project, “The Yellow Cab”, where artist decorated a Yellow Cab and donated it for purchase. All proceeds went to the Club.

In 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Remembering Marco partnered with Valentino USA. and Università Politecnica delle Marche. The company and university selected one lucky student to begin their professional career interning at Valentino USA.
REMEMBERING MARCO X YEX / YOUNG EXECUTIVES OF THE ITALIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
In 2014 Remembering Marco funded the creation of a Scholarship in name of Mr. Marco Omiccioli at CIRC, the Interdepartmental Center for the Cancer Research Giorgio Prodi of the University of Bologna – Sant’Orsola Malpidi Hospital. The total raised in the year 2014 was $30,000. In 2015 the initiative partnered with The Young Executives Committee (YEX) of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce in New York City. All the proceedings collected by YEX’s will be donated to Weill Cornell Medical College -Genitourinary Research Fund, to support Kidney Cancer Research. The total raised was $7,500.
